Account Information
When you create an account, we may collect:

- Authentication provider (Google, Microsoft, or Email & Password)
- Profile information associated with your account
Documentation Content
When you use Hyperdocs, we process content that you create or import, including:
- Product documentation
- API documentation
- Help center content
- Changelog entries
- Uploaded assets
You retain ownership of all documentation and content you create.
2. GitHub Integration
GitHub Sync is an optional feature that helps keep your documentation aligned with your product. When you connect a GitHub repository, Hyperdocs requests read-only access to the repositories you choose.
Hyperdocs never:
- Writes to your repositories
- Pushes commits
- Creates pull requests
- Modifies source code
- Changes repository settings
- Repository access is used only to monitor code changes, identify documentation that may require updates, and power GitHub Sync features.
- Hyperdocs does not permanently store your source code.
- We do not use your source code to train AI models or share it with third parties.
- You can disconnect GitHub access at any time.
3. Documentation Generation
- Hyperdocs may analyze your connected repository to generate documentation structure and draft content.
- This process is performed solely to provide documentation features requested by you.
- Generated documentation remains your content, and you may edit, review, or remove it at any time.
- Nothing is published automatically without your approval.
4. Answer Agent
Answer Agent helps customers find answers using your published documentation.
- Uses only published documentation as its source of truth.
- Does not access unpublished drafts.
- Does not invent or create documentation outside your published content.
- Questions submitted by users may be processed to improve Help Center performance, identify documentation gaps, and provide analytics to workspace administrators.
5. Analytics & Usage Information
To help improve Hyperdocs and provide product insights, we collect usage information such as:
- Page views
- Documentation usage
- Search queries
- Help Center searches
- Zero-result searches
- Feature usage
- Device and browser information
- IP address & general location derived from IP
6. Cookies
Hyperdocs uses cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember your preferences, improve performance, analyze product usage, and maintain security.
We use PostHog for product analytics and user behavior insights. You may disable cookies through your browser settings, although some features may not function properly.
7. Payments
Payments are securely processed through Paddle. Hyperdocs does not store your payment card information. Payment information is collected and processed directly by Paddle in accordance with its own Privacy Policy.
8. Third-Party Services
To operate Hyperdocs, we may use trusted third-party providers, including:
- GitHub (Repository Integration)
- Google & Microsoft Authentication
- Paddle (Payments)
- PostHog (Product Analytics)
9. How We Use Your Information
- Provide Hyperdocs services & authenticate users.
- Publish and manage documentation & generate documentation drafts.
- Monitor GitHub repositories for documentation updates.
- Power Help Center features & improve Answer Agent responses.
- Analyze product usage & improve platform security.
- Respond to customer support requests & develop new features.
We never sell your personal information.
10. Data Security
We take reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures to protect your information. These measures include encrypted communication using HTTPS, secure authentication, access controls, and limited internal access to customer information.
While we work hard to protect your information, no online service can guarantee absolute security.
11. Data Retention
We retain your information only for as long as necessary to provide our services and comply with applicable legal obligations. Documentation, analytics, and account information are retained while your account remains active.
12. Account Deletion
You may delete your Hyperdocs account at any time. When your account is deleted, we permanently remove:
- Account information & GitHub connections
- Documentation & Help Center content
- Changelog entries & Answer Agent data
- GitHub access tokens & Analytics data
13. Your Content
You retain ownership of all documentation and content created within Hyperdocs. Hyperdocs does not claim ownership of your documentation. You are responsible for ensuring that your content complies with applicable laws and does not infringe upon the rights of others.
14. Children's Privacy
Hyperdocs is intended for business and professional use. Our services are not directed toward children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
15. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time as our products and services evolve. When significant changes are made, we will update the "Last Updated" date and, where appropriate, notify users through the product or by email. Your continued use of Hyperdocs after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated Privacy Policy.
