Welcome to Hyperdocs. These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Hyperdocs website, applications, and services ("Services"). By creating an account or using Hyperdocs, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree with these Terms, please do not use Hyperdocs.
1. About Hyperdocs
Hyperdocs is a documentation platform that helps businesses create, manage, and publish customer-facing documentation, API documentation, help centers, changelogs, and AI-powered documentation experiences. Some features, including GitHub Sync, Code-to-Docs, Answer Agent, and analytics, are optional and available based on your subscription plan.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and capable of entering into a legally binding agreement to use Hyperdocs. If you are using Hyperdocs on behalf of a company or organization, you represent that you have the authority to accept these Terms on its behalf.
3. Your Account
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and login credentials. You agree to:
- Provide accurate account information.
- Keep your login credentials secure.
- Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.
You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account.
4. Your Content
Everything you create in Hyperdocs belongs to you. This includes:
- Product documentation
- API documentation
- Help Center content
- Changelogs
- Images and uploaded assets
- Generated documentation
Hyperdocs does not claim ownership of your content. You are solely responsible for ensuring your content is accurate, lawful, and does not infringe the rights of others.
5. GitHub Integration
GitHub Sync is an optional feature. By connecting your GitHub repository, you authorize Hyperdocs to access the repositories you explicitly select. Hyperdocs only requests read-only access.
Hyperdocs will never:
- Modify your repositories
- Push commits
- Create pull requests
- Delete repositories
- Change repository settings
Repository access is used only to monitor code changes and provide documentation-related features. You may disconnect GitHub at any time.
6. AI Features
Hyperdocs includes AI-assisted features designed to improve documentation workflows. These may include:
- Documentation generation
- Documentation suggestions
- AI Helper
- Answer Agent
AI-generated content is intended to assist you. You are responsible for reviewing, editing, and approving any generated content before publishing it. Hyperdocs does not automatically publish AI-generated documentation without your approval.
7. Answer Agent
Answer Agent provides responses based on your published documentation. The quality and accuracy of responses depend on the documentation you provide. You are responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date documentation. Hyperdocs cannot guarantee that Answer Agent responses will always be complete or suitable for every situation.
8. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use Hyperdocs to:
- Upload malicious software.
- Violate applicable laws.
- Infringe intellectual property rights.
- Publish illegal, harmful, or fraudulent content.
- Attempt unauthorized access to Hyperdocs or other users' accounts.
- Interfere with the operation or security of the Services.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
9. Subscription & Payments
Certain Hyperdocs features require a paid subscription. Payments are securely processed through Paddle. Subscription fees are billed according to the plan you select. Unless otherwise stated, subscriptions automatically renew until canceled. You may cancel your subscription at any time. Your access to paid features will continue until the end of your current billing period.
10. Service Availability
We strive to provide a reliable service, but we cannot guarantee uninterrupted availability. Maintenance, upgrades, or circumstances beyond our control may occasionally affect the availability of Hyperdocs. We may add, modify, or discontinue features to improve the platform.
11. Intellectual Property
Hyperdocs, including its software, branding, logos, website, and technology, is owned by Hyperdocs and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you ownership of Hyperdocs or its underlying technology.
12. Security
We take reasonable measures to protect your data and maintain the security of our platform. However, you are also responsible for:
- Protecting your account credentials.
- Managing access within your organization.
- Reviewing documentation before publishing.
13. Data Ownership
You retain ownership of:
- Documentation
- Uploaded files
- GitHub repositories
- Help Center content
- Changelogs
Hyperdocs never claims ownership of your intellectual property. Your data remains yours.
14. Account Suspension & Termination
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, engage in fraudulent or abusive activity, attempt to compromise platform security, or use Hyperdocs in a manner that negatively affects other users. You may stop using Hyperdocs and delete your account at any time.
15. Disclaimer
16. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Hyperdocs shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from the use of the Services. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid to Hyperdocs during the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
17. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time as Hyperdocs evolves. When significant changes are made, we will update the "Last Updated" date and may notify users through the platform or by email. Your continued use of Hyperdocs after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
